ATCWW Expands Into Men’s Residential Recovery Through Acquisition of The Gospel TLC in Wausau
Dear Friends and Supporters of Adult & Teen Challenge of Western Wisconsin,
We are grateful and excited to share an important update about the future of our ministry. After much prayer, discussion, and clear leading from the Lord, The Gospel TLC in Wausau will officially be joining the Adult & Teen Challenge of Western Wisconsin ministry family in early 2026.
From its beginning, The Gospel TLC has been a Christ-centered place of refuge, healing, and hope for men seeking freedom from addiction. Their mission aligns beautifully with ours: to see individuals restored by the power of Jesus Christ and equipped to walk in lasting freedom. Because of this shared calling and shared heart, this partnership feels not only strategic but deeply Spirit-led.
This transition will allow both ministries to move forward with greater strength, stability, and capacity. The Gospel TLC will become an official Adult & Teen Challenge of Western Wisconsin men’s campus, extending the reach of our mission and expanding our ability to serve individuals and families impacted by addiction across Wisconsin.
Strengthening Our Mission
Adult & Teen Challenge of Western Wisconsin has faithfully lived out this mission since 2019, welcoming more than 150 women into our residential program and providing thousands of nights of safe housing, discipleship, and spiritual mentorship. Our AfterCare program continues to walk alongside women as they step into independence with confidence and lasting hope.
Between 2022 and 2024, ATCWW received more than 900 inquiries, 253 of them (28%) from men seeking help. In 2025 alone, we have already received 243 inquiries, including 43 from men (18%). This growing number of men reaching out highlights a significant and urgent need.
By expanding our mission into the Wausau area, we are now able to meet this need and offer Christ-centered care to men seeking freedom, healing, and restoration.
What This Means Moving Forward
- The Gospel TLC will continue operating as a men’s recovery campus under the ATCWW umbrella.
- Their donors and supporters can continue giving directly to men’s programming in Wausau.
- Our teams will collaborate closely to ensure high-quality, Christ-centered care.
- A new unified organization name will be announced in the future.
- Together, we will serve more people, with stronger systems and deeper spiritual care.
A Unified Step of Faith
We believe God is writing a bigger story, one that neither ministry could fulfill alone. As we step into this next season, our hearts are full of expectation for what He will do.
We are humbled, honored, and incredibly excited to welcome The Gospel TLC into the ATCWW family. Their mission, their people, and their legacy are precious to the Lord, and we are grateful for the opportunity to steward this new chapter together. We look forward to seeing God bring hope, healing, and transformation to even more lives through this partnership.
“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…” - Ephesians 3:20
With hearts full of hope and confidence in God’s leading for this next chapter,
