Lanarkstone's Fair Trade [Duncan] went to Arizona at the young age of 6-1/2 months, at his first show he was Best Opposite Sex at the Valley of The Sun Sweepstakes, judge was our own Sandy Campbell, one my local competitors in the ring.  Duncan went on to win a Major the next day at the Scottsdale Dog Fanciers Association show.  His big sister Lanarkstone's MayDay MayDay [ Mayday] who is 10 months,  was either 1st or second each day in her class.  A great weekend for us in spite of torrential rains the last day of the shows, our Westie club's Roving Specialty.  Jeannette Melchior, club board member, went with me and learned to prepare a Westie in the ring, she is a great assistant!!
